The Fall River Historical Society celebrates the holidays in the grand manner of an elegant Victorian mansion. Tour the Historical Society’s 1843 Greek Revival home, with each period room lavishly decorated in the Victorian style followed by a private, 3- course High Tea at the Society’s Eastman House. Next, we’ll visit Blithewold, in Bristol, RI, the former home of the Van Wickle/McKee family. Each year in late December, the family would return to Blithewold to celebrate Christmas and the New Year. The household staff would arrive days before the family to ready the house for all the holiday celebrations. Enjoy a tour of the dazzling “A Day in the Life,” holiday finery providing insights into the interests of the family and the household staff on display throughout the mansion.
