Whether you are a beginner, trying watercolors for the first time, or an intermediate watercolorist, this course will teach you the fundamentals of this often misunderstood medium. Everything will be covered—from how to do a background for your bird or flowers, to applying a wash or using masking fluid to protect your outlines. We will address how to control and mix paint with limited water and a limited palette, as well as choosing the proper press of watercolor paper. Demonstrations on different techniques like wet-on-wet painting, as well as the proper way to use dry brush will be covered. All will culminate into a nature scene painting with beautiful vibrant colors. Repeat students welcome!
