Red bird painted in watercolor

Watercolor Painting Birds & Botanicals

February 1, 2022 @ 12:30 pm2:30 pm
| Cost: $135 | Cost for Members: $115

Whether you are a beginner, trying watercolors for the first time, or an intermediate watercolorist, this course will teach you the fundamentals of this often misunderstood medium. Everything will be covered — From how to do a background for your bird or flowers, to applying a “wash” or using masking fluid to protect your outlines. We will address how to control and mix paint with limited water and a limited palette, as well as choosing the proper “Press” of watercolor paper. Demonstrations on different techniques like “wet on wet” painting, as well as the proper way to use dry brush will be covered. All will culminate into a nature scene painting with beautiful vibrant colors.
