The story of why and how “Better Angels: The Firefighters of 9/11” came into being: the inspiration to create it, the long (and continuing) path to completion, and a few of the many lessons learned along the way. The artist knew only one Colorado firefighter when she began, and met hundreds from around the country along the way. The talk will be accented with specific stories about some of the 343 men in the paintings.
