The Springfield Museums at the Quadrangle will present the following Museums à la Carte programs in June. The programs are held on Thursdays at 12:15 p.m. in the Museum of Fine Arts.
June 5 – Cellar Holes and Stone Walls: The Abandoned Farm Experience; Dietrich Schlobohm, professor of history, emeritus, Springfield College June 12 – Les Petites Dames de Mode (The Little Ladies of Fashion); John R. Burbidge, fashion designer June 19 – Curious Creatures: Japanese Prints from the Bidwell Collection; Richard D. O'Brien, Ph.D., professor emeritus, Department of Biochemistry, University of Massachusetts June 26 – Upstairs and Below Stairs: Working Clothes in the Gilded Age (1875-1940); Blair H. Walker, costume and textile historian/conservator Admission to Museums à la Carte is $4 ($2 for members of the Springfield Museums). The programs are sponsored by Big Y World Class Market. Visitors are invited to bring lunch to enjoy during the program; cookies and coffee are provided.
