The Springfield Museums at the Quadrangle will present the following Museums à la Carte programs in May. The programs are held on Thursdays at 12:15 p.m. in the Michele and Donald D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts.
May 6 – Spotlight on Art: Springfield Stories; Heather Haskell, director, and Julia Courtney, curator, Springfield Art Museums.
May 13 – Jazzage Unveils: Ballads, Blues and Swing; Carol R. Daggs, M.M., University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
May 20 – Overboard! A True Bluewater Odyssey of Disaster and Survival; Michael Tougias, author.
May 27 – How Art Made the World, Part Two: The Day Pictures Were Born; DVD presentation.
Admission to Museums à la Carte is $4 ($2 for members of the Springfield Museums). The programs are sponsored by Big Y World Class Market. Visitors are invited to bring lunch to enjoy during the program; cookies and coffee are provided.
