Celebrate Halloween with Some Spooky Family Fun!

The Springfield Museums' Weekend Family Fun series will continue with "Hoot 'n' Howl Halloween."


SPRINGFIELD – The Springfield Museums' Weekend Family Fun series will continue with "Hoot 'n' Howl Halloween" on Saturday, October 29, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Activities are free with the price of admission. Special Programs: 1 & 2:30 p.m. – Museum of Fine Arts: Meet "Atka," a live Arctic wolf from the Wolf Conservation Center (Recommended ages: 5 and up). 1:30 & 3 p.m. – Science Museum: Owls: Silent Hunters – Live birds of prey program by the Vermont Institute of Natural Science. On-going Activities: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. – Museum of Fine Arts: Dress as your favorite Harry Potter character and enter to win two tickets to see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. – G.W.V. Smith Art Museum: Spooky scavenger hunt and "create your own bat" crafts. Noon – 3:30 p.m. – Science Museum: Meet costumed nightmare creatures, create your own flying owl, and dissect a real owl pellet.
