The Corporators of the Springfield Museums, at their annual meeting on September 24, elected three new Trustees to three-year terms. They are: Francis J. Cataldo, Jr., Helen R. Caulton-Harris, and Michael Rollings.
Francis Cataldo is president of C & W Realty Enterprises, LLC. He is chairman the Springfield Business Improvement District and serves on the boards of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Hampden County, Hartsprings Foundation, and the Economic Development Council of Western Massachusetts. He is also on the Finance Committee of the Springfield Museums and is a corporator at Peoples Bank. Helen Caulton-Harris is director of the Division of Community Services for the City of Springfield. She is supervises the Springfield Department of Health and Human Services, the Pioneer Valley Area Health Education Center, and Health Services for the Homeless. She is also responsible for administrative oversight of five city departments: Veterans, Elder Affairs, Massachusetts Career Development Institute, the Thomas J. O'Connor Animal Control Center, and the Library Department. She was recently appointed by Governor Deval Patrick to the state Public Health Council. Michael Rollings is executive vice president and chief financial officer for MassMutual Financial Group. He is responsible for the company's financial organization, including treasury, financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, corporate tax, corporate actuarial, financial controls, and enterprise risk management. Prior to joining MassMutual in 2001, he spent 13 years at Morgan Stanley and Co. in New York and Sydney. Reelected to the Springfield Museums board for three-year terms were Richard B. Collins, David W. Glidden, Michael F. Golden, Michael R. Matty, and Peter Picknelly. The annual meeting of the corporators was followed by the organizational meeting of the Board of Trustees at which the following officers were elected for one-year terms: Richard B. Collins, chairman; Peter F. Straley, vice chairman; R. Lyman Wood, treasurer; Michael Rollings, assistant treasurer; Frances M. Gagnon, clerk; and Dr. Ruth Njiiri, assistant clerk.
