Bring your summer wave beach photos and turn them into a powerful pastel painting. This workshop will begin with a one-hour demo followed by uninterrupted painting time and plenty of individual instruction at your easel. Utilizing an underpainting, create the structure of your pastel painting by laying in your values correctly. We’ll talk about the structure of a wave and the best ways to achieve the feeling of energy in your work. The focus will be on the composition of the wave, application of pastel, color palette, and color temperature. This workshop is for all levels. Please bring lunch or patronize a food truck at the Museums.
