Lyman & Merrie Wood Museum of Springfield History, Springfield History Theater, Second Floor
A multi-media exhibition exploring the stories of people who saw their lives dramatically change in a few brief minutes as a result of the June 1, 2011 tornado. Includes audio interviews with area residents who lived through the storm, news photos of the damage, video footage documenting the storm, and a large graphic display with photos showing the path of the F3 tornado. Visitors to the exhibition will also have the opportunity to write down their own storm stories, and these recollections will be added to the museum archives.
Developed in collaboration with New England Public Radio, WGBY Public Television for Western New England, and The Republican.
