Join the Springfield Museums, WGBY, the Springfield City Library, and the Davis Foundation for Littlefest, a celebration of problem solving Saturday, September 23, 10:00 am–5:00 pm.
Featuring appearances by the costumed characters Peg + Cat. Peg + Cat is an animated children’s television series which airs on WGBY and is based on the children’s book The Chicken Problem, which was published in 2012. The series is created by Billy Aronson and Jennifer Oxley and produced by The Fred Rogers Company and 9 Story Entertainment. The show Peg + Cat helps preschool children see math as exciting, accessible, and fun. Using an inquiry-based approach to problem solving Peg and Cat guess, brainstorm, improvise, bicker, and play games to solve problems. And no matter how daunting the problem, they never give up! They demonstrate that math is empowering and cool.
This annual event includes a variety of appearances and performances as well as a book give-away while supplies last.
