Have a Magical Friday at the Springfield Museums

The Springfield Museums' Weekend Family Fun series will continue on Friday, Nov. 28, with "Abra-Kid-Abra II: Magic in Motion." Activities will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and are free with museum admission unless noted.


Weekend Family Fun programs are sponsored by TD Banknorth. 

 

Performances:

Magician Debbie O’Carroll will perform walk-around magic tricks in the Science Museum, 1-1:30 p.m.

As the magical engineer Alice Kazoo, Debbie will take you on a tour around the country with her Railroad Magic Show at the D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts, 2 p.m.

 

Ongoing Activities:

Go on an “I Spy” scavenger hunt through the museums, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

See a planetarium show, 11:15 a.m., noon, 1 & 2 p.m. (additional fee).

Make a magical rabbit, 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

See a live animal demonstration, 11:30 a.m.-noon.

Have a sneak peek at the Indian Motocycle exhibit in the new Museum of Springfield History, noon-4 p.m.

Build an enchanted engine and challenge yourself with magical word searches, mazes, and more, noon-3:45 p.m.

Discover the wonders of science with Hands-on Family Science activities, 1:30-3:45 p.m.
