The Springfield Museums' Weekend Family Fun series will continue on Saturday, Nov. 25, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. with Holiday Happenings. Activities are free with museum admission unless noted. Weekend Family Fun programs are sponsored by TD Banknorth.
Performance: 1:30 p.m., Museum of Fine Arts – Midwinter Magic, a musical fantasy by the Gerwick Puppets about two children's wintry dream on the solstice. Over 30 whimsical puppets of all sizes and shapes interpret the music. Ongoing activities: 11 a.m.-3:45 p.m., G.W.V. Smith Art Museum – Make a mitten magnet, color nutcrackers, and make other seasonal crafts. 11:15 a.m-3:15 p.m. (hourly), Connecticut Valley Historical Museum – Listen to readings of the Dr. Seuss classic, How the Grinch Stole Christmas. 11:30 a.m-3:30 p.m., G.W.V. Smith Art Museum – Make a holiday wreath for your door. Noon-2 p.m., Science Museum – Have your picture taken with the Grinch ($2 per photo). 1:45-3:45 p.m., Science Museum</b. – Make a snowflake in Family Science Adventures.
