The Springfield Museums will present the following Museums à la Carte programs in January. Museums à la Carte programs are held on Thursdays at 12:15 p.m. in the Museum of Fine Arts.

Jan. 5 –Nineteenth-Century Explorations in Search of the Source of the Nile; Ron Niziankiewicz. Jan. 12 – Dazzling Banalities: "Refreshments," Springfield's Chardin; Victor Katz, professor of art history, Holyoke Community College. Jan. 19 – Looking at the French Impressionists: Spectacles of Modern France; Sura Levine, professor of art history, Hampshire College. Jan. 26 – Currier & Ives: An American Panorama; Heather Haskell, director, & Liz Sommer, curator, Springfield Art Museums. Admission to Museums à la Carte is $4 ($2 for members of the Springfield Museums). Big Y World Class Market sponsors the programs. Visitors are invited to bring lunch to enjoy during the program; dessert and beverage are provided.
