The Springfield Museums will present the following Museums à la Carte programs in January. The programs are held on Thursdays at 12:15 pm in the Michele and Donald D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts.
- Jan. 5 – Ancient Civilizations and Birds of Prey; Julie Anne Collier, licensed birds of prey rehabilitator.
- Jan. 12 – Creating a Collection: French Paintings in Hartford; Dr. Eric M. Zafran, Hilles Curator of European Art, Wadsworth Atheneum.
- Jan.19 – Restoration of Paintings and Painted Surfaces; Vitek Kruta, restorer, artist, teacher.
- Jan. 26 – Women Seldom Make History: An Overview of 18th and 19th Century Women of New England; Colette Davis, president, Pen and Parchment; historian, author and former National Park Ranger.
Admission to Museums à la Carte is $4 ($2 for members of the Springfield Museums). The programs are sponsored by Big Y World Class Market. Visitors are invited to bring lunch to enjoy during the program. Cookies and coffee are provided.
