The Springfield Museums at the Quadrangle will present the following Museums à la Carte programs in June. The programs are held on Thursdays at 12:15 p.m. in the Michele and Donald D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts.
June 4 – An Educational Journey in the “New South Africa”; Joye Bowman, Ph. D., professor of history, University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
June 11 – Mountain Park; Jay Ducharme, author.
June 18 – Now and Then: 75 Years of Working Artists in the D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts; Heather Haskell, director, and Julia Courtney, curator, Springfield Art Museums.
June 25 – The Iceland/Connecticut Valley Connection: Fire, Ice, and Continental Creation; Richard Little, author and professor emeritus of geology, Greenfield Community College.
Admission to Museums à la Carte is $4 ($2 for members of the Springfield Museums). The programs are sponsored by Big Y World Class Market. Visitors are invited to bring lunch to enjoy during the program; cookies and coffee are provided.
