The Springfield Museums will present the following Museums à la Carte programs in June. The programs are held on Thursdays at 12:15 pm in the Michele and Donald D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts.
- June 2 – Springfield’s Women: William Pynchon’s Settlement to Modern City; Frances Gagnon, historian.
- June 9 – Plein Air Painting and the Revival of Representational Art; Joseph McGurl, painter.
- June 16 – Believe It or Not: Science in the Age of Misinformation; Richard Sanderson, curator of physical science, Springfield Science Museum.
- June 23 – Puzzle of New England Predators; John Foster, New England Naturalist Training Center.
- June 30 – Behind the Walls: Shadows of New England Asylums; Katherine M. Anderson, MAT.
Admission to Museums à la Carte is $4 ($2 for members of the Springfield Museums). The programs are sponsored by Big Y World Class Market. Visitors are invited to bring lunch to enjoy during the program. Cookies and coffee are provided.
