LittleFest of Storytelling III

The Springfield Museums at the Quadrangle will host "LittleFest of Storytelling III" on Saturday, September 29, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The event is free for Springfield residents.


The multi-cultural children's literature festival is sponsored by Cherish Every Child, an initiative of the Irene E. and George A. Davis Foundation; the Springfield City Library; the Springfield Museums; and WGBY. Families are invited to join us for the following activities: Ongoing Each child will receive a free book. (Quadrangle Tent) Information Fair – Learn more about services and programs offered to families with young children. (Quadrangle Tent) 10 a.m.-noon Hands-on art-making workshop. (Central Library) 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. & 2 p.m. Visit with PBS Kids character Super Whyatt. 10:15 a.m., 11:15 a.m. & 1:15 p.m. Monica Bleasius performs Mother Goose stories. (Central Library Children's Room) Felix Pitre performs Animal Tales and Juan Bobo stories from Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico and Brazil. (Science Museum) Len Cabral performs African and Caribbean folktales. (Dr. Seuss Sculpture Garden) 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. & 1:30 p.m. Visit with PBS Kids character Clifford the Big Red Dog. Noon-2 p.m. Make your own bookmark. (G.W.V. Smith Art Museum)
