The Springfield Museums will present the following Museums à la Carte programs in March. The programs are held on Thursdays at 12:15 pm in the Michele and Donald D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts.
- March 1 – On History’s Front Steps: One Irish Clan’s Exploits in Northampton, ‘The Paradise of America,’ 1930-2010; James Francis Cahillane, M.A., author and poet.
- March 8 – The Great Highland Bagpipe in a Global Perspective; David Peters, musician.
- March 15 – Candice E. Lopes: Making Politics Local; Annalise Fonza, Ph.D., assistant professor, Clark Atlanta University, Atlanta, Georgia.
- March 22 – 'Know Thyself' – The Van Gogh Self-Portraits: Decoding an Artist's Life; Charles Hayward, M.F.A., art historian.
- March 29 – Culture or Counter-Culture, Café Society in 19th-Century Paris; Gloria Russell, art historian, critic, and lecturer.
Admission to Museums à la Carte is $4 ($2 for members of the Springfield Museums). The programs are sponsored by Big Y World Class Market. Visitors are invited to bring lunch to enjoy during the program. Cookies and coffee are provided.
