The Springfield Museums’ Weekend Family Fun series will continue on Saturday, October 16, with “Radical Robots.” Activities will take place from 10 am to 4 pm and are free with museum admission unless noted.

Weekend Family Fun programs are sponsored by TD Bank through the TD Charitable Foundation.

Robotics Demonstrations
The Aexeous Robot, noon, 1 & 2 pm – Aexeous Robot is an intelligent, heavy-duty robot that walks, talks and interacts with the audience.
FIRST Robotics, 10:30 am-4 pm – Teams from Agawam, Springfield, and West Springfield will show off their award-winning machines.

Ongoing Activities

• Family Science Adventures, 1-3:30 p.m. – Discover the wonders of science through hands-on activities designed for families to explore together.
• Art Activity, 11 am-3:45 pm – Design your own robot.
• Scavenger Hunts, 11 am-3:45 pm – Explore the galleries and discover objects in the art and history museums.
• Art Discovery Center, noon-3:45 pm – Create a Rockin’ Robot scene, play gallery games, try on costumes and more.
• Planetarium Shows, 11:15 am, noon, 1 & 2 pm – Embark on an outer space adventure. (Additional fee).

Radical Robots is presented in collaboration with the Springfield Public Forum.
