Museum School Courses Rescheduled

Three Museum School courses originally scheduled for Saturday, February 9, will now be held Saturday, February 16.


W05. Doctor for a Day
Saturday, February 16;10 am-12:30 pm; ages 7-11. Wearing lab coats and using stethoscopes, we'll learn about the heart, how to take a pulse and measure blood pressure. Go through the "hospital" and help diagnose and cure "patients," perform "surgery" and learn how to "suture."  Learn how to use a microscope, discuss common illnesses and your body’s natural defenses. $22, Members; $26, nonmembers. W13. A Celebration of the Citrus Season
Saturday, February 16; 10 am-12:30 pm; adults. Winter is the season for oranges, lemons, limes and grapefruit. Explore the origin and the many culinary properties of these and other citrus fruits. Experience the jazzy flavors of these fruits with demonstrations of recipes and samples of sweet and savory citrus dishes.$22, Members; $25, nonmembers. Register now.

W30. Introduction to Pastels Workshop
Saturday, February 16; 10 am-3 pm; adults. Pastels emit an intensity of color unchallenged by any other medium. Students will be guided from start to finish, establishing proportion and shape, then volume and surface through color and value. No art experience required. Please bring a brown bag lunch. $65, Members; $75, nonmembers (includes all materials). Register now.
