The Springfield Museums at the Quadrangle will present the following Museums à la Carte programs in October. The programs are held on Thursdays at 12:15 p.m. in the Museum of Fine Arts.
Oct. 5 – Life or Theater: The Work of Charlotte Salomon; Ellen Kaplan, associate professor of acting and directing, Smith College. Oct. 12 – Agatha Christie's Unsolved Mystery: The Unexplained Disappearance of the Mystery Author; Dr. Carole Owens, author. Oct. 19 – Yankees in Montreal 1783-1815: The Role of Early New England Craftsman in Fashioning the Character of Anglo-Quebec; Ross Fox, Royal Ontario Museum. Oct. 26 – The History of Halloween; Don D'Amato, history professor, Springfield Technical Community College. Admission to Museums à la Carte is $4 ($2 for members of the Springfield Museums). The programs are sponsored by Big Y World Class Market. Visitors are invited to bring lunch to enjoy during the program; dessert and beverage are provided.
