- May 7 – Meet John Adams – A Lively and Revolutionary Conversation with America’s Second President. George Baker, attorney and historical re-enactor, brings one our foremost Founding Fathers to life.
- May 14 – Surveying Whistler's Works on Paper. Jonathan Shirland, PhD, Assistant Professor of Art History, Bridgewater State University examines this underappreciated area of Whistler’s legacy.
- May 21- Sidonia’s Thread: A Study in Resilience. Author Hanna Perlstein Marcus Shares her mother’s journey from the time of her liberation from Bergen Belsen after WWII to her life in Springfield.
- May 28- Springfield’s Immigrants: Then & Now. Local historian Frances Gagnon discusses the birth and rise of Springfield’s many immigrant communities.
Monthly Walking Tours are presented on second Saturdays in collaboration with the Armoury-Quadrangle Civic Association (AQCA). This year’s tours will revisit Springfield street locations that were photographed by the WPA 75 years ago. On May 9, join historian Benjamin Murphy for a tour of Lower Maple Street. Walking tours are free for Springfield Museums and AQCA members, $5 nonmembers, and start at the Museums’ Welcome Center.
