The Springfield Museums at the Quadrangle will present the following Museums à la Carte programs in November. The programs are held on Thursdays at 12:15 p.m. in the Michele and Donald D'Amour Museum of Fine Arts.
Nov. 6 – A Summer of Hummingbirds: Love, Art, and Scandal in the Intersecting Worlds of Emily Dickinson, Mark Twain, Harriet Beecher Stowe, and Martin Johnson Heade; Christopher Benfey, Mellon professor of English, Mount Holyoke College
Nov. 13 – Cellar Holes and Stone Walls: The Abandoned Farm Experience; Dietrich Schlobohm, emeritus professor of history, Springfield College
Nov. 20 – Painting the Invisible Man: A Historical Fictional Novel; Rita Schiano, author
Admission to Museums à la Carte is $4 ($2 for members of the Springfield Museums). The programs are sponsored by Big Y World Class Market. Visitors are invited to bring lunch to enjoy during the program; cookies and coffee are provided.
