The Springfield Museums at the Quadrangle will present the following Museums à la Carte programs in October. The programs are held on Thursdays at 12:15 p.m. in the Michele and Donald D'Amour Museum of Fine Arts.
Oct. 2 – Quabbin: The Valley Filled with Water; John Green, naturalist and photographer Oct. 9 – Recalling your Life through Writing; Janet Sadler, writer and writing coach Oct. 16 – Old First Church 1637-2007: Faith, Community, Turmoil and Anti-Slavery; Frances Gagnon, Springfield historian Oct. 23 – The Impressionists: Edgar Degas; DVD presentation from the series The Great Artists: Their Lives, Times, and Work Oct. 30 – Far East of the Sun: A Contemporary Novel Based on a True Story; Janina Stankiewicz Chung, author Admission to Museums à la Carte is $4 ($2 for members of the Springfield Museums). The programs are sponsored by Big Y World Class Market. Visitors are invited to bring lunch to enjoy during the program; cookies and coffee are provided.
