The Springfield Museums will present the following Museums à la Carte programs in September. The programs are held on Thursdays at 12:15 pm in the Michele and Donald D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts.
- Sept. 6 – How to Visit an Art Museum; Richard Mühlberger, former director, Springfield Art Museums; adjunct professor, art and architectural history, Western New England University; author of 16 art publications.
- Sept. 13 – Beyond the Renaissance: Baroque Art; Gretchen Fox, M.A., independent art historian.
- Sept. 20 – The Korkosz Brothers and their Amazing Star Ball: The Seymour Planetarium Celebrates 75 Years; Richard Sanderson, curator of physical science, Springfield Science Museum.
- Sept. 27 – On History’s Front Steps: One Irish Clan’s Exploits in Northampton, “The Paradise of America,” 1930-2010; James Francis Cahillane, M.A., author and poet.
Admission to Museums à la Carte is $4 ($2 for members of the Springfield Museums). The programs are sponsored by Big Y World Class Market. Visitors are invited to bring lunch to enjoy during the program. Cookies and coffee are provided.
