Registration is underway for spring courses and travel at the Museum School of the Springfield Museums.
Children's courses include From Trash to Treasure for ages 5-7, Artistic Discovery for ages 6-8, Painting, Printmaking and Pottery for ages 8-11, Crime Lab Chemistry for ages 8-12, and Mixed Media and Collage for ages 12-15. Art courses for adults include the architecture of Paris, calligraphy, creative writing, culinary arts, genealogy, stained glass techniques, tarot, silk painting, drawing, painting, watercolor, and matting and framing. Science courses include nature photography and bird watching. The Museum School is also offering the following day trips: Yale University Art Gallery and Yale Center for British Art on April 15; the Institute of Contemporary Art and the Velázquez exhibit at the Boston MFA on May 13; and Gropius House and the DeCordova Museum on June 10. An overnight trip to New York is scheduled for April 11 & 12, and a trip to Paris is planned for May 23-31.
