The Springfield Museums’ Culture & Cocktails series continues with a special evening titled “Artistic and Culinary Expressions” on Thursday, November 6 from 5-8 pm at the Michele and Donald D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts.

Guests can view Japanese prints from the D’Amour Museum’s world-famous collection that are only rarely placed on display. The exhibit, Let it Snow: Winter Scenes in Snow Globes and Japanese Prints, also includes a selection of fanciful and antique snowglobes. Museum School artist Paul LeVeille will be on hand as well to demonstrate pastel portraiture with a live model.

Catering at all eight Culture & Cocktails events this year is by Log Rolling Catering. The November event will feature hors d'ouevres and other treats served at chef attended stations, including asparagus, broccoli, and cauliflower culinary foams, all included with admission. There will also be a cash bar, and additional food options available for purchase from the deluxe Log Rolling Food Truck. Live classical and Latin guitar music will be provided by Jeremy Milligan.

Culture & Cocktails are monthly after-five events held at one of the four museums on the Quadrangle campus, and are open to guests ages 21 and up. Each month’s theme is inspired by the Springfield Museums’ extensive collections, special exhibits and holiday celebrations. The series continues with The Sparkle of the Holidays at the Springfield Science Museum on December 11, 2014 (Second Thursday).
