The Springfield Museums will host a Native American Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 6, from 10 am. to 4 pm on the Quadrangle Green. Outdoor admission and activities are free.
The festival is co-presented by the Connecticut Inter-Tribal Council in conjunction with Massachusetts Archaeology Month.
Ongoing Activities
- Traditional drumming, singing and dancing featuring Turtle Moon Drum; 10 am-noon and 1-4 pm.
- Display, sale and demonstration of crafts and foods by Native American artisans and vendors, 10 am-4 pm.
- Artifact identification by local experts, 11 am-noon and 1-2 pm.
- Traditional Native American children’s games, 10 am-noon and 1-3 pm.
