Space is still available in the following art classes for adults at the George Walter Vincent Smith Art Museum at the Quadrangle in Springfield.

Shell Chic: The Art of Decorating with Seashells will be offered on Saturday, April 28, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Visiting artist and author Marlene Marshall will teach participants how to create a shell-encrusted frame or mirror in class. The registration fee is $65 for members of the Springfield Museums and $76 for nonmembers, and includes a shell packet and mirror or frame. Soapstone Sculpture will be held on Saturdays from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. from April 28 to June 9. The registration fee is $156 for members of the Springfield Museums and $184 for nonmembers, and includes one piece of soapstone and most tools. The course is taught by Jonathan Bechard.
