The Springfield Museums' Weekend Family Fun series will continue with "AbraKIDabra" on Friday, November 23, and "Winter Wishes" on Saturday, November 24. Activities are free with the price of museum admission unless noted. Weekend Family Fun programs are sponsored by TD Banknorth.
Friday, November 23 – "AbraKIDabra" Performances: Noon-1 p.m. Magician Steve Charette performs strolling magic through the museum galleries. 2 p.m., Museum of Fine Arts Enjoy a comedy magic show by Charette. 3-4 p.m., Museum of Fine Arts Charette will create balloon animals and hats after the magic show. Ongoing Activities: 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m., Museum of Fine Arts Grab a quick lunch at the Family Fun Snack Bar. 11:30 a.m.- 3:30 p.m., G.W.V. Smith Art Museum Make your own magician's hat. Noon-3:45 p.m., G.W.V. Smith Art Museum Learn simple magic tricks and decorate a magic wand. Noon-3:45 p.m. Discover the magic of science with hands-on Family Science Adventures. Saturday, November 24 – "Winter Wishes" Performances: 11:15 a.m., Science Museum Listen to a reading of the Dr. Seuss classic, How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Noon-1 p.m., Science Museum Have your picture taken with The Grinch (additional fee). 1 p.m., Museum of Fine Arts Enjoy "Winter Variety Show," a musical performance by the Toe Jam Puppet Band.
