Join artist Robert Masla in several activities to stimulate creativity and jump into the unknown, where we will play, explore, experiment, grow and have fun. In this workshop we will focus on techniques and exercises for fast, expressive, loose painting. We will learn some of the properties and manipulation of the acrylic medium as well as about color combinations, some principles of design and composition and artistic intention as we spend the day with permission to be loose and through the paint around with purpose. Learn to break down objects and forms into simple yet convincing expressive shapes. Most importantly, we “listen to the paint”, learn to improvise and trust in our intuition, opening to the creative process. We are not looking for perfection here, we are exploring, experimenting, discovering, and expressing our experience of the world. Here there are no mistakes, only opportunities for change and growth. Dress for mess.
