2D to 3D, Line Drawings Take Shape, 11 am-3 pm
Visit the Kids Design Glass special exhibit to see how glass artists have brought kids’ drawings to life! While you’re there, create your own flat line drawing and then make a three-dimensional version with pipe cleaners.
USS Constitution Sailors, 11 am-3 pm
Six sailors dressed in the traditional 1812 uniforms of yesteryear give historical STEM presentations to young and old alike. They will also bring artifacts from the ship.
Navy History and Heritage Command, 11 am-3 pm
The group all kinds of history items from the Navy to include items that would have been inherent to the New England area.
USS Springfield Sailors, 11 am-3 pm
This group of sailors are stationed aboard one of our nuclear-powered fast attack submarines, based out of Groton, CT.
Traveling MakerSpace, Noon–3 pm
Teaching artist Jay Mankita leads this workshop in which kids and families will use everyday items to build, test, and improve their own “Rube Goldberg Machines”.
Rhode Island Sound, 1 pm
Rhode Island Sound is the most contemporary sounding group from Navy Band Northeast. This ensemble entertains audiences with music ranging from rhythm and blues to classic rock.
