| Cost: $80 | Cost for Members: $68

Join Robert Masla in this fun and dynamic workshop where exploration is encouraged and there are no mistakes, only opportunities for change, growth, and creative expression. Experience a variety of materials and learn about the techniques for handling them. Study methods and procedures of drawing as you learn through simple and clear exercises. Gain understanding about line, value, shape, form, pattern, texture, light, and shadow, as well as composition and various aspects of perspective. Obtain insight into the effects of light and shadow and learn how they sculpt form through value. You will learn about working with a neutral ground surface, tonal drawing, the selective use of expressive line, as well as take home exercises so that you can continue practicing on your own. Through a variety of demos, tear sheets, and exercises you will learn how to see and recreate in your drawings the illusion of planes and volumes of objects as well as create believable spaces and environments. For beginners to advanced artists who wish to charge up their creative batteries and sharpen their drawing skills.
