Spidey Senses and Adaptations
Meet the museum’s Chilean rose tarantula and learn all about arachnid adaptations, like spinning sticky webs, venom, quick movements, and special senses. A museum educator will be on hand to answer your questions.

Meet the Author: Mary Jane Begin
Mary Jane Begin is the author of My Little Pony: The Dragons of Dazzle Island and featured artist in our special exhibit Cats in Hats. Learn more about her in an interactive presentation and get a poster or book signed. Books and posters available for purchase in the Museum Store.

Bam! Bam! Japan! An Anime and Manga Mini-Con
Presented by Springfield Conservatory of the Arts, this con will include artist demonstrations, cosplay, Japanese calligraphy, and more. Visitors are encouraged to cosplay too!
Puppet Showplace Theater
Five original stories brought to life using nothing but cardboard and the power of your imagination. With help from the audience, puppeteer and artist-in-residence Brad Shur transforms simple cardboard shapes into elaborate puppet characters, then brings them to life right before your eyes
