Curiosity and Imagination: Dinos & Turtles, Oh My!
(Children ages 5-7) Learn all about turtles and their ancient armored relatives. Explore how once upon a time our Springfield area was home to volcanoes and dinos.
Woodworking Open Shop
(Children ages 7-10) Learn basic woodworking skills as you practice how to measure, cut and assemble your wooden creations. Design and build your own project for the week. Special attention will be placed on safety and fun.
Awesome Science Adventures
(Children ages 8-11) Explore exciting areas of science, from geology, rock identification to using microscopes and solar-powered cars.
Printed Paintings: Chagall-Inspired Monoprint/Mixed Media
(Children ages 9-12) Use your monoprints as backgrounds for various drawing and painting techniques to create several unique artworks inspired by the rhythmical and vibrant works of artist Marc Chagall.
Members-Only Tour: Radiant Abstraction
Explore Radiant Abstractions: Metallic Photographs by Rebecca McMann, abstract photographic works printed on metal.
Adult Art Talk: Chagall for Children
Join our docents for a mini-tour of a special exhibition in the D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts.

Summer Science Sampler: Week 2
(Children ages 6-8) The cars and motorcycles at the Wood Museum of Springfield History will take you on a trip through Springfield’s past. Gallery visits, hands-on crafts and artists’ performances will enhance the fun.
Professor Knows A. Lot
Come learn what she is up to at the Museums! Activities may include meeting a costumed character, face painting, magic, balloon animals, comedy, and getting to know the permanent collections. Free with museum admission! The Horace Moses Charitable Trust, Bank of America, Trustee
