The Springfield Museums at the Quadrangle will present the following Museums à la Carte program in December. Because of the holidays, there will be just one program in December.
Dec. 10 – The Fantastic World of M. C. Escher, a DVD presentation about the Dutch artist who created woodcuts and lithographs of complex structures that expressed mathematical principles in graphic form. His work features impossible architectural constructions and explorations of infinity.
Museums à la Carte programs are held on Thursdays at 12:15 p.m. in the Michele and Donald D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts.
Admission to Museums à la Carte is $4 ($2 for members of the Springfield Museums). The programs are sponsored by Big Y World Class Market. Visitors are invited to bring lunch to enjoy during the program; cookies and coffee are provided.
