The Springfield Museums have received a $10,000 grant from TD Bank through the TD Charitable Foundation for the Museums’ Weekend Family Fun series of educational programs.

Weekend Family Fun programs highlight holidays, special exhibitions, cultures from around the world, and popular topics like dinosaurs and Dr. Seuss. Each program includes a performance, hands-on demonstrations, science activities, and craft workshops.

“Families from throughout the Greater Springfield area visit the museums specifically for our Weekend Family Fun programs,” said Holly Smith-Bové, president of the Springfield Museums. “Without support from TD Bank these popular programs would not be possible.”

TD Bank, through its charitable giving arm, the TD Charitable Foundation which was established in 2002, provides financial assistance for a variety of cultural and community events, as well as health and human services organizations.
