(Children ages 6-8) The cars and motorcycles at the Wood Museum of Springfield History will take you on a trip through Springfield’s past. Gallery visits, hands-on crafts and artists’ performances will enhance the fun.
(Children ages 5-7) Learn all about turtles and their ancient armored relatives. Explore how once upon a time our Springfield area was home to volcanoes and dinos.
We will pack up the lab and visit the shores of the Connecticut River at the Fannie Stebbins Wildlife Refuge and hike the trails at the Fort River Wildlife Refuge for additional up close encounters with the natural world.
Meet turtles face-to-face and learn their importance in the food web. Create your own diorama as you explore the enchanting world of coral reefs and the fascinating creatures that depend on them.
