Conscious Impressions: Green Printmaking from Zea Mays Printmaking Studio

An exhibition of prints by some of the finest printmakers in the region is on view at the D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts through October 25 in the special exhibition Conscious Impressions: Green Printmaking from Zea Mays Printmaking Studio.

The Zea Mays Printmaking Studio in Florence, Massachusetts, is a nationally-recognized leader in the art of printmaking. Directed by Liz Chalfin, the studio features world-renowned printmakers who both teach and print.

In March, Zea Mays opened a new, expanded facility making it the largest non-toxic printmaking studio in the United States. Research, education, workshops, facilities and artist residencies offered through the studio bring a safe, earth-friendly approach to printmaking. In recognition of this achievement, the D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts is exhibiting this selection of prints that represent the fine work being produced in the studio.
