Culture & Cocktails Offers an Evening of “Champagne and Moonlight”

The Springfield Museums will host their third Culture & Cocktails event of the season on Thursday, December 12 from 5-8 pm at the Springfield Science Museum. Attendees can enjoy specialty champagne cocktails while viewing “The Magic of Gingerbread” display featuring over 30 gingerbread houses from professional and amateur bakers, and also try their hand at decorating their own holiday cookie. The Museum Store, voted Best Gift Shop by readers of The Republican, will also be open with special sales on handcrafted gifts and unique toys. Rounding out the evening’s offerings will be a special planetarium show and talk by Planetarium Educator Jack Megas.

Admission is free for members of the Springfield Museums and $5 for nonmembers. The price of admission includes hors d’oeuvres and cash bar provided by Elegant Affairs as well as live holiday music by the a cappella group Strike a Chord.

The event is for people ages 21 and up. Both museum members and nonmembers are encouraged to make advance reservations through springfieldmuseums.org or by phone at 413.263.6800, ext. 255.
