The Springfield Museums have been awarded a $28,300 Organizational Support grant for fiscal year 2010 from the Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC), a state agency.

The MCC’s Organizational Support Program provides funding to Massachusetts cultural organizations of all sizes and disciplines that meet high standards of excellence in program quality, community participation, and organizational capacity.

Grant applications are recommended for funding to the MCC board by a panel selected from a national pool of professionals in the discipline field. The Museums’ award was in the multidisciplinary category, reflecting the diversity of the exhibits and programs offered by the art, history and science museums at the Quadrangle.
