The Springfield Museums at the Quadrangle will present the following Museums à la Carte programs in September. The programs are held on Thursdays at 12:15 p.m. in the Museum of Fine Arts.
Sept. 6 – Winslow Homer and "The New Novel"; Chelsea Dacres-Smith, professor of art history, Greenfield Community College. Sept. 13 – Seldom Seen: Contemporary Art from the Permanent Collection; Julia Courtney, assistant curator of art, Springfield Museums. Sept. 20 – Family Values in the Art of Renaissance Florence; Gretchen Fox, independent art historian. Sept. 27 – The Chinese Garden: Art, Religion, and Symbolism; Marie Stella, landscape historian. Admission to Museums à la Carte is $4 ($2 for members of the Springfield Museums). The programs are sponsored by Big Y World Class Market. Visitors are invited to bring lunch to enjoy during the program; cookies and coffee are provided.
