Springfield Museums to Welcome Spring with “Festival of Flowers”
The Springfield Museums will be in bloom with the return of Festival of Flowers, April 6-9, 2017. This year’s celebration will feature over four dozen objects from the art, history and science collections creatively interpreted by local florists, designers, and garden club members. Over 4,000 people flocked to the event last year, and the Festival has become one of the most anticipated moments in the Museums’ calendar. Festival of Flowers is free with museum admission.

Springfield Museums to Host Annual Birthday Party for Dr. Seuss
On Saturday, March 4, the Springfield Museums will host their annual Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. Theodor Seuss Geisel was born in Springfield on March 2, 1904, and the Dr. Seuss National Memorial Sculpture Garden is located on the Museums’ Quadrangle. That legacy is celebrated each year with a day full of family activities, performances, and appearances by the Cat in the Hat himself. The celebration, one of the most popular of the Museums’ annual events, is part of the Family Fun series which is supported by the TD Charitable Foundation. Activities are free with museum admission unless otherwise noted.
