April 2007 School Vacation Week
"Mother Nature/Father Time" will be the theme of April school vacation week activities from Monday, April 16 through Friday, April 20 at the Springfield Museums. Activities are free with the price of admission to the Museums unless noted.
Walking Tour – March 2007
Dr. Donald D'Amato, history professor at Springfield Technical Community College, will lead a walking tour along lower State Street on Saturday, April 14, from 10:30-noon. The tour will begin and end at the Springfield Museums on the Quadrangle at 21 Edwards Street, off Chestnut Street.
March 2007 Youth Courses

Stars Over Springfield
The Springfield Science Museum's large rooftop telescope will be open for public sky-gazing on Friday, April 6, at 7:30 p.m.

April 2007 Museums à la Carte
The Springfield Museums at the Quadrangle will present the following Museums à la Carte programs in April. The programs are held on Thursdays at 12:15 p.m. in the Museum of Fine Arts.
Documentary Films – 2007
The Museum of Fine Arts' Davis Auditorium will be the site of two documentary films presented in cooperation with two local organizations.
2007 Ubora Award Nominations
The African Hall Subcommittee of the Springfield Museums is seeking nominations for the 16th annual Ubora Award. The award is presented to an African-American individual who has demonstrated a commitment to the Springfield community and exhibited excellence in the fields of community service, science, education, humanities or the arts. Nominations must be received by March 31, 2007.
2007 Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration
The Springfield Museums' Weekend Family Fun series will continue on Saturday, March 3, with a birthday bash for Dr. Seuss. Theodor Seuss Geisel was born in Springfield on March 2, 1904.

Stars Over Springfield
The Springfield Science Museum's large rooftop telescope will be open for public sky-gazing on Friday, March 2, at 7:30 p.m. The museum's telescope will zoom in on the ringed planet Saturn.
Currier & Ives Lecture – 2007
The Museum of Fine Arts' Currier & Ives 2007 lecture series will conclude on February 25, at 2 p.m., with "Currier & Ives and the Emergence of American Mass Media," presented by Daniel Czitrom, professor of history at Mount Holyoke College.
