Walking Tour – August 2007
Architect and historian Stephen Jablonski will conduct a walking tour through the area surrounding Mattoon Street on Saturday, September 8, from 10:30 a.m.-noon. The tour will begin and end at the Springfield Museums at 21 Edwards Street.
Stars Over Springfield
The Springfield Science Museum's large rooftop telescope will be open for public sky-gazing on Friday, September 7, at 7:30 p.m.
September Museums à la Carte
The Springfield Museums at the Quadrangle will present the following Museums à la Carte programs in September. The programs are held on Thursdays at 12:15 p.m. in the Museum of Fine Arts.
Opera Trip and Film Series
Music lovers can immerse themselves in opera this fall by attending a New York City opera premiere and a Sunday afternoon series of opera on film at the Springfield Museum of Fine Arts.
August 2007 Walking Tour
Springfield historian Frances Gagnon will conduct a walking tour along State Street and talk about some of the dramatic events that have taken place on the stretch of the road from the river to Byers Street on Saturday, August 11, from 10:30 a.m.-noon. The tour will begin and end at the Springfield Museums on the Quadrangle at 21 Edwards Street.
Ancient Culture Quest Week
Families are invited to explore ancient cultures at the Springfield Museums from August 14 through 17. The program is the final week of "Summer Festival Days," sponsored by Bank of America and the Eugene A. Dexter Charitable Fund through the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts.

"Summer Festival Days" performances and activities at the Springfield Museums will continue with Summer Circus Week from August 7 through 10.
Here Be Dragons Week
"Summer Festival Days" performances and activities at the Springfield Museums will continue with "Here Be Dragons" week from July 31 through August 3.
New Currier & Ives Exhibit – July 2007
Some of the finest examples of prints produced by the lithography firm of Currier & Ives will be on view at the Museum of Fine Arts from July 19, 2007 through January 6, 2008 in the special exhibition Currier & Ives' Greatest Hits.
Magic of Science Week
"Summer Festival Days" at the Springfield Museums will continue with The Magic of Science Week from July 24 through 27.
New History Exhibition
City of Homes, an exhibit exploring the ways Springfield builders, designers, manufacturers, merchants, and residents interpreted the concept of home, will be on view from July 18 through Jan. 20, 2008 at the Connecticut Valley Historical Museum at the Quadrangle.
