The Springfield Museums at the Quadrangle will present the following Museums à la Carte programs in February. The programs are held on Thursdays at 12:15 p.m. in the Museum of Fine Arts.
Stars Over Springfield – January 2008
The Springfield Science Museum's large rooftop telescope will be open for public sky-gazing on Friday, February 1, at 7:30 p.m.
Stained Glass Lecture
The Worship of Wealth: Stained Glass in the Homes of the Rich will be the topic of a talk by stained glass conservator Julie Sloan on Sunday, January 27, at 2 p.m. at the Museum of Fine Arts. The talk is free with the price of museum admission. Coffee and cookies will be served.
Family Fun Program – January 2008
The Springfield Museums' Weekend Family Fun series will continue on Sunday, January 20, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. with Animal Adventures.
New Currier & Ives Exhibit – January 2008
Prints showing important 19th-century events and social phenomena will be on view at the Springfield Museum of Fine Arts from January 15 through June 8, 2008, in the special exhibition Extra! Extra! Currier & Ives and the Mass Media.

Artist Lecture
Glass artist Josh Simpson will speak about his work on Sunday, January 6, at 2 p.m. at the Springfield Museum of Fine Arts. The talk is free with the price of museum admission.
SIS Charitable Fund Grant Announced
The Springfield Museums Association announced yesterday that it has received a $725,000 grant from the SIS Charitable Fund to be used for renovations of the new Museum of Springfield History.
School Vacation Fun
Families are invited to enter the magical world of lords, ladies and knights in shining armor during "Medieval Days" at the Springfield Museums from December 26-29. Activities are free with the price of museum admission unless noted.
New Watercolor Exhibition
A group of colorful watercolors will be on view in the Starr Gallery at the Springfield Museum of Fine Arts from December 4, 2007 through October 26, 2008, in the special exhibition At Play: Leisure Time Portrayed in Watercolor.
Museum Grants Heralded
The Springfield Museums yesterday announced a $4 million gift, one of the largest donations ever received by the private, nonprofit association.
