Brian Connors, Deputy Director of the City of Springfield's Office of Planning & Economic Development and member of the Springfield Preservation Trust, will lead a walking tour focused on the State Street corridor on Saturday, September 12, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The tour will begin at the Springfield Museums.
The Springfield Museums at the Quadrangle will host “LittleFest of Storytelling V” on Saturday, September 12, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The program is free. Activities planned for outdoors will be held inside if it rains.
The Springfield Museums will resume fall hours on September 1. Hours at the Michele & Donald D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts and the George Walter Vincent Smith Art Museum are Tuesday through Sunday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The Science Museum is open Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
The Springfield Museums at the Quadrangle will present the following Museums à la Carte programs in September. The programs are held on Thursdays at 12:15 p.m. in the Michele and Donald D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts.
The Springfield Science Museum’s large rooftop telescope will be open for public sky-gazing on Friday, Sept. 4, at 7:30 p.m. The program will be held rain or shine. If it is overcast, a planetarium show will be presented in place of telescope viewing.
The Springfield Science Museum at the Quadrangle is recruiting volunteer docents to conduct tours and programs for children and adults.

Henry J. Duffy, Ph.D., Curator and Chief of Cultural Resources at the Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site in New Hampshire, will conduct a Springfield walking tour to see sculpture by Augustus Saint-Gaudens on Saturday, August 8, from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
