The Springfield Science Museum's large rooftop telescope will be open for public sky-gazing on Friday, April 3, at 7:30 p.m. The program will be held rain or shine. If it is overcast, a planetarium show will be presented in place of telescope viewing.
The Springfield Museums at the Quadrangle will present the following Museums à la Carte programs in April. The programs are held on Thursdays at 12:15 p.m. in the Michele and Donald D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts.
Teatro Vida will present their second season's original multi-media performance, "...and literacy for all," on Sunday, March 29, at 2 p.m. in the Davis Auditorium of the Michele & Donald D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts at the Quadrangle.
Nominations are still being accepted for the 2009 Ubora Award (Swahili for Excellence) sponsored by the African Hall Subcommittee of the Springfield Museums. The committee has honored an outstanding African-American in the Greater Springfield community yearly since 1992.

The Springfield Museums' Weekend Family Fun series will continue on Saturday, February 28, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. with a birthday bash for Dr. Seuss. The snow date is Sunday, March 1. Theodor Seuss Geisel was born in Springfield on March 2, 1904.
Registration for spring courses for children and adults at the Museum School of the Springfield Museums begins February 23.
