The Springfield Science Museum's large rooftop telescope will be open for public sky-gazing on Nov. 7, at 7:30 p.m.
The Springfield Museums at the Quadrangle will present the following Museums à la Carte programs in November. The programs are held on Thursdays at 12:15 p.m. in the Michele and Donald D'Amour Museum of Fine Arts.

The Springfield Museums will celebrate fall with a Native American Pow Wow on Saturday, October 18, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Quadrangle grounds. The Pow Wow is part of the Museums' Weekend Family Fun series sponsored by TD Banknorth.
Paintings by local artist Holly S. Murray will be on view in the Community Gallery at the Michele & Donald D'Amour Museum of Fine Arts from October 14, 2008-January 4, 2009, in the special exhibition Endangered Species.
Dr. Cecelia Gross, chair of the History/Political Science Department at Springfield Technical Community College, will lead a walking tour to sites of significance in African-American history on Saturday, October 11, from 10:30 a.m.-noon.
Springfield's World of Wheels car and motorcycle show has been rescheduled to Saturday, October 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Automobiles from every decade since 1893 will be exhibited along with vintage motorcycles on the museum grounds at the Quadrangle.
The Corporators of the Springfield Museums, at their annual meeting on September 24, elected three new Trustees to three-year terms. They are: Francis J. Cataldo, Jr., Helen R. Caulton-Harris, and Michael Rollings.
